Oahu Hawaii Condos
- Hawaii has a large amount of Condominium (Condos). Condos are privately own two or three-bedroom apartments that have a kitchen and washer/dryer. Normally you may not think about staying in a Condo on vacation, but its a very real option in the Hawaiian Islands. Many buildings on Oahu are Condos only and there available units are rented to tourists in a very professional hotel like manner. There are people on both sides of the fence when it comes to Hawaii Condos vs Hotels. Lets look at some of the pluses and minuses of staying at a Hawaii Condo.
Some of the advantages of staying at a Hawaii Condos is more space. Condos are design for living, not just sleeping like a hotel. Along with more space comes more rooms, while hotels are essentially a bedroom and a bath. The biggest advantage of a Hawaii Condo is a Kitchen. A kitchen allows a family to cook its own meals, which can translate to big savings when your no longer dependent on high price restaurant meals. A full-size refrigerator is a big plus too. Along with a washer and a dryer, a Hawaiian Condo is hard to beat when you bring children to Hawaii. Hawaii Condos usually are cheaper then a comparable hotel.
Some of the disadvantages of staying at a Hawaii Condos is lack of an air-conditioner. Many Hawaii Condos do not have air-conditioning, only ceiling fans. This many be a problem for you in the summer months. Some Hawaii Condos do not have daily maid service. Hotels have more developed public facilities then Condos (lobbies, stores, restaurants, landscaping, more elaborate pools, etc.) And hotels usally have much more possible amenities. And finally since Condos are individually owned, each owner may not keep their Condo as well furnished as other owners.
